How do I snap a shape?

Draw a rough circle, rectangle, triangle or line and hold the pen still at the end for a moment. It snaps clean. Undo to get your original stroke back.

How do I type in my own handwriting?

Choose the Type tool, open the typeface menu and tap "My Handwriting". Write each letter once, save, then type.

How do I mark up a PDF?

In Notebooks, tap Import and choose your file. Each page opens ready for Apple Pencil. Export from the page menu.

How do I stop my palm leaving marks?

Turn on Pencil-only in the toolbar. The finger then scrolls and zooms while the Pencil writes.

How do I back up my notes?

Settings > Back up everything. You get one .penara file. Restore it from the same screen. Restoring adds notebooks and never overwrites.

My notes aren't syncing.

Check that you're signed in to iCloud and that iCloud Drive is on for Penara in Settings > your name > iCloud. Sync uses your private iCloud storage.

How do I restore a purchase?

Open Penara, go to Settings and tap Restore Purchases.

How do I cancel Penara Plus?

Settings > your name > Subscriptions > Penara. Cancel at least 24 hours before renewal.
